Homeless Prevention and Diversion Program
Funded by the Indiana Department of Veterans Services through the Grant Services for Veteran Fund. InteCare’s Divert, Prevent & Sustain Program offers financial assistance for veterans who are experiencing an unexpected short term financial setback. Our hope is that we are able to assist qualifying veterans with the needed support (one-time) to divert a homeless episode, prevent an eviction and/or sustain their current housing status. We can also assist veterans who are currently homeless but are in need of a temporary boost giving them the ability to move beyond their current crisis.
Some of the expenses that may be covered are security deposits, utility deposits or other expenses that are related to housing the veteran.
The Divert, Prevent & Sustain Program Specialist will work with the Veteran to determine their needs, make referrals, and document all financial assistance.
