SSVF Grant Renewed

We are pleased to announce that the Department of Veteran Affairs awarded InteCare with the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) grant for the 5th year in a row. In 2017, the program served over 401 households and provided over $559,000 in financial assistance on behalf of Veteran households. Nationally, the number of Veterans experiencing homelessness decreased by 18 percent. InteCare’s SSVF Team continues to be grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the solution to ending Veteran Homelessness in our community.

However, there is more to be done, according to the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention (CHIP) Veterans are an increasing percentage of the overall population of those experiencing homelessness. They now make up a quarter of the homeless population. If you are interested in donating to our cause, please visit our website at http://www.intecare.org/supportive-services-for-veteran-families. Your donations cover items not allowable under the SSVF Grant. 100% of the donations go to our Veteran families.
