The InteCare administrative staff possesses a wealth of experience
and knowledge about the Behavioral Healthcare Industry, Managed
Care, Public and Private-sector service delivery, and quality
improvement. Together, the executive staff have over a century of
collective experience in Behavioral Healthcare Treatment, Program
Management, and Managed Care.
Geoffrey E. Buck,
Psy.D. CEO:
Dr. Buck has
extensive experience in developing, implementing and managing
large-scale behavioral health coverage benefits, including Medicaid,
Medicare, and private health insurance, and has been the
implementation leader for all aspects of numerous public and private
programs. Dr. Buck also has experience with EAP work and unique or
customized programming for specialized populations. He’s
experienced with accreditation processes including URAC and NCQA.
Geoff is a licensed clinical psychologist with over
twenty-five years of experience including practice in a variety of
settings.
Charles Coats, MD, Medical Director:
Dr. Coats joined the InteCare staff as Medical Director in 2001, and also serves as a Staff Psychiatrist at Adult & Child Center. Dr. Coats has over nineteen (19) years of practice experience. He received his M.D. from the Indiana University School of Medicine, and is Board Certified in both Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Kirk Wheeler,
Ph.D. Director of Clinical Services:
Dr. Wheeler is
experienced in accreditation (JCAHO and CARF): clinical operations
in behavioral health: practice management; community assessment and
consultation; and utilization management and review. Kirk is a
clinical psychologist receiving his Ph.D. degree from Cornell
University and possesses over 25 years of experience in hospital and
community based care, and has consulted in program development and
implementation around evidence based practices, cost effective
operations and integrated primary/ behavioral health initiatives.
John Yates, BS,
Director of Business Operations:
Mr. Yates has worked
in broad band business health insurance and managed care consulting
with experience in provider contract negotiations,
business development, insurance program analysis with emphasis on
integration of behavioral health with medical surgical coverage;
claims adjudication, billing and collections operations; and the
development of managed care initiatives, e.g. limited HMO licensure,
capitated and case rate contracts. John earned a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Evansville and is
a licensed insurance agent with over 20 years of experience with
health and behavioral health insurers. John has expertise in
the implementation and management of provider networks, including
those presently serving the Hoosier Healthwise program.
Rebecca Sigafus, MSW, Director of
Quality Improvement:
Becca Sigafus has more than 20 years
experience in behavioral health and managed care with 10 years
dedicated to the coordination and oversight of quality improvement
programs. She joined InteCare, Inc. in 2000 as the Director of
Quality Improvement and was responsible for the development and
implementation of the InteCare Quality Improvement Program. As the
Director of Quality Improvement, Ms. Sigafus continues to manage all
facets of the Quality Improvement Program including program
direction, organizational policy and procedure along with the
initiating performance improvement projects for InteCare and its
credentialed provider network. Ms. Sigafus has broad behavioral
health experience which includes the provision of direct service
within the Community Mental Health System and as a Quality
Improvement Manager for a large, national managed behavioral
healthcare company. Ms. Sigafus has an extensive background in
behavioral health accreditation including URAC, NCQA, The Joint
Commission and CARF. She earned her Masters of Social Work Degree
from Indiana University.
Venita
J. Moore, CPA, MBA, Chief Financial Officer:
Venita
Moore has
formerly served as the Interim Secretary and Deputy Secretary for the Indiana
Family and Social Service Administration and Chief for the Division
of Planning and Special Programs at the Internal Revenue Service.
Janet
Raymond, BS, MHFRP Manager:
Janet Raymond
joined InteCare in 2003 and serves as Manager of the Mental
Health Funds Recovery Program. She has over ten years experience in
Sales, Marketing, Operations and Management in both the health care
and industrial environments. Janet earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in Speech Communications with a Business minor from
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Jill Derryberry, BA, Data Management Specialist:
Jill Derryberry joined InteCare in 2005 and serves as Data
Management Specialist working with the Mental Health Funds
Recovery Program and the Consumer Survey Process. Prior to
joining InteCare, Jill worked in the Financial Aid Industry for
5 years. Jill earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology
from Indiana University South Bend.
Julie Maxwell-Coker, MSW,
Credentialing Specialist:
Julie
Maxwell-Coker joined
the InteCare staff in 2003. Prior to joining InteCare she worked in the
claims department for a property casualty insurance company for four
and half years. Julie graduated from Indiana State
University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. She also
graduated from Indiana University, Indianapolis in 2006 with a
Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Social Worker in the State
of Indiana.
NaKaisha Tolbert-Banks, MSW, Program
Manager:
NaKaisha Tolbert-Banks serves as the Program Manager for the Neighborhood
Based Mental Health Services Program. She received her Bachelors
degree in Social Work from Ball State University in 1998. She
received her Master of Social Work degree in 2002 from Indiana
University. NaKaisha has been employed in the Social Services arena
for nine years, and has worked in many different facets of Social
Services. She has most enjoyed her work in Child Welfare as a Home
Based Counselor and further work in the Behavioral Health field, in
which she worked as a Psychotherapist. Additionally, she has
experience in and has enjoyed working with at-risk youth suffering
from addictions issues, mental illness and homelessness.
