InteCare has been certified by the Division of Mental Health & Addictions (DMHA) as a Managed Care Organization since 2000 for the following populations: Severely Mentally Ill, Severely Emotionally Disturbed, Substance Abuse and the Gambling Addiction population. We serve as the sole contractor with the State of Indiana for the Hoosier Assurance Program (HAP) for our founding institutions, arranging for the services for approximately 15,000 Hoosier Assurance Program consumers. InteCare is also the primary contractor with the State Operated Facilities initiatives (attached to the HAP agreement), the Assertive Community Treatment program for Adult & Child Mental Health Center, and the Neighborhood Based Services Initiative (an outreach program with several community-based partner agencies).  InteCare also contracts with the state to administer the Mental Health Funds Recovery Program (MHFRP), a federally-approved Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) program.
